I wouldn’t call it an obsession. Just smart marketing. The Steelers have a huge following and DC is close to Pittsburgh and the opportunity to purchase game used items is a draw.

You can call it what you want. They limit their customer base, and alienate themselves. Those of us who get tired of the same old players, stop going. Because they cant broaden their horizons.

Not the best ever, one of the best ever! I’m a Redskins fan and was surprised to not see more Redskins represented personally! My only complaint is the HUGE fanbase from kids to grown kids that are Brett Favre fans including myself can’t meet him or get his autograph if you want to spend any money on anybody else or any dealers due to the prices for all 4 tiers especially to get a ball, jersey, or helmet with an inscription you just spent $550! Sucks for the fans and kids!

Did you attend the Redskins-Steelers Monday night game last year? The Steelers fans outnumbered the Redskins fans easily. Once the Redskins fans started to clear out in the fourth quarter over half the stadium was wearing black and yellow…that should answer your question.

Couldn’t agree more with commentary from First Timer. I started my collection of autographs from HOF QBs twenty years ago. It’s ridiculous how the cost of these signatures has skyrocketed. It’s disgusting. I hope these guys are giving their money to charity. With the fortunes that they earned they sure as heck don’t need the money themselves. I spent $550.00 for a Favre signature and HOF 16 inscription. The show “handlers” hustled you so fast through the experience it was like Chinese fire drill. And Favre certainly wasn’t making any effort to at least pretend to be semi-enjoying the experience. I cant’ imagine where the industry pricing will be down the road when Peyton Manning and Tom Brady hang it up. Like First Timer said, what is really sad is that kids can’t engage in this… and it is quickly becoming that way for a lot of adults too.

It was our first experience at the show, we had a great time. We were from Canada to see the Cowboys and it was all good. Bob Lilly and Mel Renfro were real class acts. What a pleasure that was meeting them. We got there too late on the Sat to see some of the Steelers. I have a hard time understanding why anyone would pay $400 for a Brett Favre signature. He has only won 1 Super bowl, not 2 or 3, nor would I put him in the class of a Jim Brown Joe Greene who were less in price for an autograph. It’s about giving back to the fans who have supported all the Favre hype. I’m sure he has made his millions. Look at Deion Sanders HOF multi sport athlete, one of the best corners in NFL history at $145. Where does Favre rank in top quarterbacks of all time? I’m not sure he cracks the top 10 based on Super Bowl wins. Just saying $400 for a signature, that is gouging in my opinion. Take one for team Bret, and give back to your packer fans. I’m a Cowboys fan and am well aware of the passion of the Green Bay fans. I think the cheese heads deserve better.
