2013 CSA Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Dick DeCourcy
Dick first began participating in our hobby in 1948, buying penny-packs of that year’s Bowman Baseball Cards. His interest, and enthusiasm for this wonderful hobby has not waned in the intervening 65 years. He first started setting up at shows in 1983, trading as Georgia Music and Sports. Through solid practices, including hard work and unsurpassed customer service, he continually built up Georgia Music and Sports, to the point that in 2000, he had three warehouses and a staff of 60. When he tried to retire in 2001, he found he missed the action too much; so in 2002 he began trading as Uncle Dick’s Cards, and has been at it ever since.
Anyone who has ever done any business with Uncle Dick, will attest that this year’s choice was as solid as possible. Come to congratulate Uncle Dick at the July Chantilly Show (he will be set up in the middle of the room, right next to his old buddy Bill Huggins), and while you’re at it, you can check out all the great vintage stuff he brings with him.
CSA is proud to present the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award, for honesty, integrity, and courtesy, to Uncle Dick DeCourcey.
